Here, Kitty Kitty

Remember when the hardest decision we had to make was which book to have read to us at night? Remember when the deepest conflicts we faced were created by Dr. Seuss and depicted for us on a brightly colored page? Here, Kitty Kitty is a tribute to the simpler times. It is, essentially, a children’s book for grown-up kids.

Things That Go

Don’t open the door. Check under the bed. It’s behind you. Ch-ch-ch-ah-ah-ah. Horror has essentially become a genre of tropes. (Granted, successful multi-million dollar tropes, but tropes no less.) Complete with chain-locked doors, childhood monsters, and the overwhelming fear of what’s lurking in the dark, Things That Go does not skimp out on popular horror conventions. But to say it is only that merely scratches the film’s surface. Things That Go is more than a spooky short. It’s about family, strength, and what real monsters look like.

Sometimes

Picture this: It’s the middle of the night, but 8 year-old Jake isn’t asleep. His sister Katie isn’t asleep; her boyfriend is over. Mom and Dad aren’t asleep either. Oh, and there’s a cop. On his trip downstairs to get some water, Jake hears mysterious sounds coming from his parents’ bedroom so he enlists his sister to help him investigate and winds up getting more of an explanation than he asked for. “Sometimes” is a story about a family who is forced to see, hear, and say more than they ever would’ve wanted to, and may now be scarred for life.
